About

     Ascendance Independent is a 509(a)(2) nonprofit organization based in Springfield, Ohio, dedicated to empowering youth and young adults through the art, athleticism, and community of winter guard. We believe in rising above adversity, embracing creativity, and building a supportive environment where performers ages 10–22 can grow as individuals, teammates, and leaders.

     As an independent winter guard, we provide opportunities outside of the school system, allowing students from all backgrounds to experience the excitement of performance, competition, and personal achievement. Our members train in movement, equipment, and performance excellence while also developing life skills such as teamwork, discipline, and confidence that extend far beyond the floor.

Performing on the MEPA Circuit and recognized by Winter Guard International (WGI), Ascendance Independent is proud to represent our community at regional and national levels. Through rehearsals, clinics, competitions, and community events, we strive to showcase not only the artistry of our performers but also the resilience and determination that fuel their success.
